OER Training and Professional Development

Project Start Date:
2008

Open Educational Resources (OER) broaden curriculum, strengthen collaboration, and enrich teaching and learning. ISKME's Training and Professional Development services offer a wide-range of ways for educators to learn about, create, and share OER.

Our Role:

Learn how to create dynamic, new curriculum; share lesson plans as OER; and remix other educators’ content.

  • Professional Development Workshop: Customized workshop that introduces OER, facilitates curriculum creation, and teaches new tools for collaboration. Available in-person and online.
  • Curriculum Development Workshop: Facilitated design-thinking workshop that results in OER curriculum ideas. Learn inventive ways to brainstorm, prototype, and develop new, dynamic curriculum content.
  • Technical Training: Training focused on OER resources including OERCommons.org, OER Knowledge Collaborative, and OER social media.
  • Curriculum Support: Assistance with OER content creation, curation, repackaging, standards alignment, and accreditation.
  • Mentorship: One-on-one guidance and support adapting OER. Assistance with finding, modifying, and creating OER.
  • Event Exhibition: Interactive OER activities customized for outside events.
  • Speaking Engagement: Presentation about education’s OER movement and specific opportunities for involvement.
